We are still radiantly happy about the weekend's results. Unforutnately the web magazine Ridehestne.com forgot to mention the winning mare, which of cause was quite disappointing, since the winning mares from the oth regions have been mentioned........
However, they took some brilliant photos - click the picture to the right to see 37 fantastic photos!
Here we are still working to get our own photos and video ready - hopefully during this weekend:-)
Tuesday 28 September
Saturday 25 September was a fantastic day!
With sun shining from a clear blue sky and temperatures reminding of summerdays, our lovely mare Lavinia Toftøje by Florencio and Linett by Racing Ace XX / Luxemburg participated in the Danish Warmblood Riding Ability Test for 4-year Olds and Mare Inspection. With a top, no. one placing in the Mare Inspection and a placing as no. 8 in the Test!
She received a remarkable description from the judge, Ole Christensen, with lots of superlatives. Her Inspection description was: An outstanding and well-proportioned mare with a muscular croup, energetic trot and very elastic canter.
In the Test, among others, she scored 9,5 for her canter and 8,5 for capacity. A super result, taking her training course into account, since she was only ridden for a total of four months – including the ”breaking in”!
A huge thank you to Margit Ørum, who, once again, showed one of our mares in a brilliant way and wit an outstanding result!
Lavinia is now back home at Stutteri Toftøje, for a short visit of 1-2 months, since Margit is hving a shoulder operation. As soon as Margit is back in the saddle, Lavinia will return to Klosterhenden for further education.
We shall post more picuters and video from this wonderful day during the coming week, so keep an eye on this page!
On Sunday at the semi-finals in Billund for the 4-year old Championships, Stevie Wonder (the sire of Zunshine Toftøje) and his rider Lotte Skjæbæk qualified for the finals in the Young Horse Championships to be held in Odense in connection with the big JBK Horse Show 14-24 Octobre.
In Billund, Stevie obtained the following great scores: Trot: 9,2 - Walk: 8,0 - Canter: 9,8 - Ridability: 9,0 - Capacity: 9,0 - Total: 9,00.
In the piture you see Stevie Wonder and Lotte Skjæbæk at a training session - a handsom couple!
At 04 o'clock this morning, the horse lorry started from Stutteri Klosterheden. In the cabin was: Margit, Mette and Malene. The lorry was carrying: Klosterhedens Zelecktion by Zorro Son / Mid-West Ibi-Light. The destination was Schlieckau in Germany, where Zelecktion will be for the coming 70 days to hopefully pass the Stallion Performance Test. The journey went well and so did the vet check. The showing under rider, who was Margit, went very well - comment from the spectator seats were: ”movement to go into heaven….”.
We cross our fingers and hope everything goes well and look forward with great anticipation to the final test on 17/18 November!

Although her ”last name” is not Toftøje, she still belongs to the family: Klosterhedens Lakina!
Lakina is by Akinos and Laguann Toftøje by BH Hertug and Linett. As the name says, she is bred at Stutteri Klosterheden by Margit Ørum, who bought her mother, Laguann, from us as a two-year old.
Lakina is now owned by Yvonne and we are so fortunate that she keeps us updated on how they are doing. Lakina is still standing at Stutteri Klosterheden where Yvonne receives education from both Malene Mira Petersen and Margit Ørum. Malene rode Lakina at the Mare Inspection / Danish Warmblood Riding Ability Test last year, and this year they participated in a dressage competition where they placed no. five.
Yvonne had a professional photographer taking some pictures of Lakina and she has been so sweet to send some of them to us. Click on the picture to the right to see more lovely pictures!
Rikke who owns Donnerwetter Toftøje by Donnerschlag and Linett by Racing Ace XX has started to study, and has realised that for the moment she has neither the time nor the money to keep a horse. She has therefore decided to lend Donnerwetter to a girl for, hopefully, some years.
This girl is Simone; she is only 16 years old, has another horse of her own and has just commenced highschool – so she hopes she will have the time, also in the future, for two horses. After a very short time together with Donerwetter, they participated in their first competition at the end of July – they were placed second with 72,8%!
We wish Simone the best of luck with Donnerwetter and hope to hear from her in the future!
